Welcome to the Orems Elementary Library.

Mission
The mission of the Orems Elementary Library is to promote a love of reading and digital citizenship skills within a safe, welcoming environment for all members of our school community. Through the library's curation of diverse, engaging educational print and digital resources, students are empowered to grow, think critically, collaborate, create and share knowledge responsibly.

Vision
The Orems Elementary library will collaborate with the school community to discover individual and collective strengths for educational and personal interests and achieve maximum potential as lifelong learners.

All students in Kindergarten through 5th grade attend library classes at least once a week.

Our school library has eBooks available 24/7, accessible within Destiny.

Our circulation policy is:

1 book  -  Kindergarten
2 books - Grades 1 and 2
3 books - Grades 3 - 5

For buddy reading, projects, extended breaks, and/or request, additional materials may be borrowed.

For those classes that have two library classes per week, book circulation generally takes place during the second meeting.

The library is also open during arrival and dismissal for students to exchange materials beyond their class meeting time on any day.

Parents are welcome during dismissal any day and those with a BCPS School Library Card may borrow materials.
